This intensive 5-day Pilates Teacher Training Course is designed to equip aspiring instructors with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to become certified Pilates teachers. Participants will delve into the fundamentals of Pilates, with a special focus on the MAT1 reformer1 exercises.
Through a combination of lectures, practical sessions, and assessments, students will gain a deep understanding of Pilates principles and techniques, enabling them to guide clients toward improved strength, flexibility, and overall well-being.
Day 1: Introduction to Pilates and MAT1 Basics**
– Morning Session:
– Welcome and course overview.
– History and philosophy of Pilates.
– Principles of Pilates: breath, concentration, control, centering, precision, and flow.
– Afternoon Session:
– Introduction to the MAT1 reformer1.
– Basic exercises and their modifications.
– Practical session: MAT1 reformer1 fundamentals.
Day 2: Intermediate MAT1 reformer1 Exercises**
– Morning Session:
– Review of Day 1.
– Progressions in MAT1 reformer1 exercises.
– Afternoon Session:
– Teaching techniques and cueing.
– Practical session: Intermediate MAT1 reformer1 exercises.
Day 3: Advanced MAT1 reformer1 Exercises**
– Morning Session:
– Review of Day 2.
– Advanced MAT1 reformer1 exercises.
– Afternoon Session:
– Client assessment and goal setting.
– Practical session: Advanced MAT1 reformer1 exercises.
Day 4: Special Populations and Modifications**
– Morning Session:
– Pilates for special populations (e.g., prenatal, postnatal, seniors).
– Modifications and adaptations.
– Afternoon Session:
– Hands-on adjustments and spotting techniques.
– Practical session: Working with special populations.
Day 5: Teaching Practice and Certification**
– Morning Session:
– Group teaching practice.
– Feedback and assessment.
– Afternoon Session:
– Final written and practical exams.
